Dear Business Leader,
Mark Moseley, former Redskin and NFL MVP with the support of the GE Volunteers, GXS, the Hogettes, and Washington Redskins Cheerleaders Alumni Association, is once again hosting the Mark Moseley Celebrity Golf Tournament on Monday, June 8, 2009 at Raspberry Falls Golf and Hunt Club, 41601 Raspberry Drive, Leesburg, Virginia. With the current economic situation, it is more important than ever to continue this fundraising activity.
Former Washington Redskins, the Cheerleaders Alumni Association and other local celebrities have been key players in this fundraiser benefiting two National Institutes of Health charities: Special Love and Friends of the Clinical Center. These charities are dedicated to providing much needed support and financial assistance to children and their families.
The cost to send one ill child to champ for a week is $650.00. Friends of the Clinical Center spends an average of $700.00 per familyo needing emergency financial assistance in order to continue their treatments. The support from sponsors and participants like you is needed to allow these charities to continue their good work. Please think of this as a wonderful opportunity to give back to your community. You can host clients or provide recognition to well-deserving employees, while supporting two great charities. Despite the awful heat, the 2008 Tournament allowed us to split $111,000 between the two charities.
The day includes golf on a premier golf course, continental breakfast, mingling with sports figures, TV and radio personalities and politicos, raffle tickets, tournament contests, mulligans, lunch, on-course refreshments, reception, dinner, golfing awards, and silent and live auctions.
Your company could co-sponsor the tournament, sponsor a foursome, or if golfing isn’t your thing you can be part of this event by doing one of our other sponsorships such as dinner, golf shirts, lunch, gift bags, breakfast, reception, beverage carts or by donating an item for the Silent or Live Auction or a prize for one of the golfing contests. On this website, you will find information regarding various sponsorships, the 2008 Sponsors, Schedule of Events and more.
Your support is greatly appreciated and will be fully acknowledged. Please note that your contributions are to the R & W Foundation and are tax deductible (subject to applicable tax regulations). For information on this tournament and how you can get involved, please contact Pat Carnright at 202-637-4257.
On behalf of Special Love and Friends of the Clinical Center, we thank you.
